After making a typo in the event's description, Niantic announced that the company is giving away extra Raid Passes to Pokemon GO players who purchased a Mega Lucario Raid Day ticket. This error was addressed just a few days before the start of the Mega Lucario Raid Day event in Pokemon GO, ensuring that players will receive a generous amount of Raid Passes when it begins.
After the community worked together to complete limited-time challenges at Pokemon GO Fest 2024, Niantic announced that Ultra Unlock: Mega Lucario Raid Day would be held on July 27. This event will mark the debut of Mega Lucario in raids, with an increased chance of encountering a Shiny Mega Lucario. Players may also benefit from increased XP gains (x1.5), boosted Rare Candy XL drops, and increased Remote Raid limit up to 20. Purchasing the Mega Lucario Raid Day ticket for $5 ensures additional rewards, including more Raid Passes and a Lucario Mask for the player's in-game character.

Niantic shared an update on its Niantic Support Twitter account, confirming that a typo was made in the description of the Mega Lucario Raid Day ticket in Pokemon GO. The typo stated that Pokemon GO players could receive an additional eight Raid Passes by spinning Photo Discs at Gyms. To remedy this error, all ticket holders will now receive 13 Raid Passes from spinning Photo Discs during the event, in addition to one Raid Pass from the daily bonus and five Raid Passes from the event bonus. In total, players will receive up to 19 Raid Passes if they purchase the Raid Day ticket.

Twitter users are pleased with Niantic's update on Mega Lucario Raid Day, since the increased number of Pokemon GO Raid Passes ensures players will have more opportunities to battle against the featured Pokemon. This also means that players will gain more rewards than usual if they encounter and defeat Mega Lucario multiple times during the Raid Day event.
It's clear that Pokemon GO players who purchase the Mega Lucario Raid Day ticket will have the best possible experience, as they will also receive a number of exclusive bonuses on top of the free event bonuses. On July 27 from 11:00 a.m. To 10:00 p.m. Local time, ticket holders will benefit from increased Rare Candy XL drops, a guaranteed Rare Candy XL when catching Lucario, x3 more XP from raid battles, and double Stardust drops from raid battles, alongside the aforementioned Raid Passes. After Mega Lucario Raid Day concludes, Pokemon GO's new Adventure Week event will begin in early August, with more rewards up for grabs.
