Pokemon GO has revealed new Adventure Events for Zacian and Zamazenta that will debut during GO Fest: Global. That will be the final part of the most anticipated event on the Pokemon GO calendar, with Niantic bringing players around the world the annual celebration of the augmented reality game.
Zacian was added in 2021 at the start of the Ultra Unlock Part 3: Sword and Shield event, while Zacian's Shiny form debuted in Pokemon GO only in 2024 at the Legendary Heroes event. Zamazenta, meanwhile, debuted at the same event, while its Shiny form became available in the game also in 2024, but at the start of the Galarian Expedition event. In 2025, it was Niantic's turn to add the Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta forms, along with their shiny variants during Pokemon GO Fest 2025. Now, Pokemon GO players who want to explore the legendary duo's power further will have a new feature available.

Niantic has announced the addition of new Adventure Effects for Zacian and Zamazenta in anticipation of Pokemon GO Fest 2025: Global. To activate Zacian's, players will first need it to be in Crowned Sword form. Its Charged Attack Iron Head will change to the Charged Attack Behemoth Blade, and then the Behemoth Blade Adventure Effect can be activated using 5,000 Stardust and five Zacian Candy. This effect will strengthen the player's Pokemon attack during raids and Max Battles for six minutes.
Zacian and Zamazenta Increase Their Powers in Pokemon GO With New Adventure Effects
To activate Zamazenta's, it must be in its Crowned Shield form, which will change its Charged Attack Iron Head to the Charged Attack Behemoth Bash. Only then can the Behemoth Bash Adventure Effect be activated using 5,000 Stardust and five Zamazenta Candy. The bonus given to the Legendary Pokemon will be different from Zacian's bonus and will increase the player's monsters' defense during Raids and Max Battles for six minutes.
In addition to the new Adventure Effects, players who participate in Pokemon GO Fest 2025: Global can battle Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta in five-star raids. They will get Crowned Sword Energy for defeating Zacian and Crowned Shield Energy for defeating Zamazenta. Players will also encounter Hero of Many Battles Zacian and Hero of Many Battles Zamazenta, which are the original forms of the legendary Gen 8 duo. Additionally, players who have GO Fest: Global tickets can have early access to Pokemon GO perks in anticipation of the event.
