The launch of Pokemon GO's fourth generation of creatures has been incredibly well-received and led to players racing around all week to try and catch the 20+ Pokemon included in the first wave. Despite plenty to do in the days following wave 1's arrival, it seems like the spawns abruptly starting disappearing after yesterday's Community Day concluded.

In the days following Pokemon GO's Gen 4 launch, the Sinnoh starters and a handful of other creatures from the region were popping up all over the place. Unfortunately, that was a little too good to be true. It seems that spawns had been increased for the launch event and have now likely been normalized. Players will probably still spot a Bidoof when they login, but the starters seem to be a bit more rare now.

Players throughout the Pokemon GO community have been reporting a significant decrease in Gen 4 spawns that seemed to start at the conclusion of the October Community Day. Users are still collecting data, but the change seems to have happened worldwide for all players.

Hopefully players were using Pinap berries while the spawns were in full force. Many players were hoping to obtain all the currently available evolutions and that will be a bit harder now that spawns seem to be so much more rare.

For now, players will have to hope to find some Gen 4 starter nests out in the wild if they weren't able to obtain enough candy in the last week. These creatures will likely be featured for Community Day eventually, but that's probably a long time down the road.

Check back for more news and updates in the coming days. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!

Pokemon GO is currently available on Android and iOS devices in select regions.
