You can get Urshifu Single Strike Style and Urshifu Rapid Strike Style starting from their debut on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 10 AM Local Time but there are no direct ways to catch them. Pokemon GO: How To Get Urshifu (Single Strike Style/Rapid Strike Style)

Once you get a Kubfu, you can evolve it into either the Urshifu Single Strike Style or the Urshifu Rapid Strike Style. While they require identical amounts of Kubfu candies, there is another distinct requirement to get each of the Kubfu evolutions. You can collect the required amount of Kubfu Candies by completing other tasks in the Might and Mastery Special Research or the Fuzzy Fighter Special Research.

  • 200 Kubfu Candies
  • Win 30 Dark-type Raids or Max Battles with Kubfu as the Buddy Pokemon

Evolve Kubfu into Urshifu (Rapid Strike Style)

  • 200 Kubfu Candies
  • Win 30 Water-type Raids or Max Battles with Kubfu as the Buddy Pokemon

You don't have to win these Raids or Max Battles with Kubfu as the counter, all you have to do is keep Kubfu as your Buddy Pokemon while you win the Raids or Max Battles.

Pokemon GO: Can Kubfu Be Shiny

No, you cannot get a Shiny Kubfu in Pokemon GO as yet. This means Shiny Urshifu (Single Strike Style/Rapid Strike Style) isn’t available either. There is no way to predict when Shiny Kubfu will make its in-game debut.
