The Grass/Flying-Type Pokemon Hoppip is at the center of Pokemon GO's February 2022 Community Day, an event that takes place on Saturday, February 12 from 11am to 5pm local time. One aspect of this event is a Special Research story called A Hop, Skip, and Jump Away, which is split across four steps. Each of these steps features numerous tasks and rewards, and fans can find full details on Pokemon GO's A Hop, Skip, and Jump Away Special Research story in this guide.
Before detailing the tasks and rewards associated with the PoGO February 2022 Community Day Special Research, it is worth mentioning that only players that buy an Event Ticket will be able to access the story. For full clarity, such a ticket can be purchased from the in-game shop for $0.99, and fans can use the following list to determine if the rewards justify that expense.

As players that have participated in recent Community Day events are sure to note, the tasks and rewards that make up this Special Research story are standard. In fact, they are nearly identical to what was featured in Pokemon GO's The Spheal Deal Special Research story from last month's event. The only differences are that A Hop, Skip, and Jump Away focuses on Hoppip, rather than Spheal, and a Star Piece has replaced a Lucky Egg as a Step 1 completion reward.
While this reward swap may seem minor, it is actually quite nice to receive a Star Piece rather than a Lucky Egg from the Special Research, as it pairs well with one of the Community Day bonuses. More specifically, players will be earning 3x Catch Stardust for the duration of the event, and they can push those gains even higher with the help of the Star Piece. Fans can also activate the Incense they receive in Step 2 if they really want to rake in the Stardust in PoGO.
