How to Get Alolan Vulpix in Pokemon GO
There are a few ways you can increase your chance of coming across an Alolan Vulpix. To start, right now, you can take part in the Better Together Event, which will be live from July 17, 2024, to July 22, 2024. During this event, you will have a significantly increased chance of coming across Alolan Vulpix in the wild, along with a few other Pokemon and even the original Vulpix.
All you need to do is go out and walk around, and you are bound to spot an Alolan Vulpix soon enough during this event. To increase your chances even further, here are a few additional tips and tricks you can use:
- Take advantage of your Daily Adventure Incense, or a regular Incense, to attract Alolan Vulpix to your character
- Use a Lure Module at any nearby PokeStop to attract more Alolan Vulpix to the area
- Take advantage of Alolan Vulpix's weather boost, which is in Snow
With these tips implemented, Alolan Vulpix should appear almost immediately, along with the original Vulpix if you are on the hunt for this Pokemon, too. Outside this event, the Pokemon will appear in other events as well, such as Community Days or Raid Days, so keep an eye on these if you miss the Better Together Event.

If you are also looking to get yourself a Shiny Alolan Vulpix to match your Shiny Vulpix, luckily, the Shiny variant is available in the game. During events like Better Together, your Shiny chances can increase greatly from 1 in 500, to around 1 in 40, or even one in 10.
The best way to locate a Shiny Alolan Vulpix is to use all the tips we gave above to increase your chances of spotting an Alolan Vulpix. You will need to just approach any Alolan Vulpix that you find, and once you enter the battle, you will be able to tell if it is a Shiny based on its colors, which have more of a purple color in its eyes and ears, rather than blue. If you notice that it is not a Shiny, you can leave the encounter and move onto the next to save your Berries and PokeBalls. You will need to have patience here, as a Shiny Alolan Vulpix isn't guaranteed, so make sure to take your time and don't give up on your search too soon.
