Meloetta specifically appears in Finding Your Voice, which is Special Research that allows players to catch Meloetta. The Mythical Pokemon was first made available in this Special Research on September 21st, 2021, and is still available to complete today.

You can find this Special Research by clicking the binoculars icon on the bottom right of your screen. From here, go to the Special section at the top, and you should be able to locate Finding Your Voice here. If not, you might need to complete a few more Special Research Tasks before it appears. Here are all the tasks you will need to complete for Finding Your Voice:

  • Part 1
    • Take a snapshot of your buddy
    • Catch 30 Normal-type Pokemon
    • Evolve 15 Pokemon

  • Part 2
    • Use 30 Berries to catch Pokemon
    • Earn 5 Candies while walking with your buddy
    • Give your buddy 3 treats

  • Part 3
    • Win 3 Gym battles
    • Battle in 3 Raids
    • Defeat 3 Team GO Rocket Grunts

  • Part 4
    • Catch 30 different species of Pokemon
    • Spin 3 PokeStops
    • Earn 20,000 Stardust

  • Part 5

After completing all the tasks, you will be given a Meloetta encounter, as well as a chance to get 20x Meloetta Candy. You will be able to get some other items as well, such as Lure Modules, and Rare Candies.

Can Meloetta Be Shiny in Pokemon GO?

Although there are two versions of Meloetta, including Pirouette Forme and Aria Forme, the Pokemon does not currently have a Shiny form in Pokemon GO. However, since a Shiny version of both forms do exist in other games, it is certainly possible that a Shiny Meloetta will become available in the future.
