Shiny Chances in Pokemon GO will almost always stay the same, except when the game is having an event including the Pokemon you are on the hunt for. For example, Shiny chances are normally 1 in 500, but when there is an event occurring like Community Days or Raid Days, this can increase to 1 in 25, or 1 in 10.

With that said, the best way to get a Shiny Meowth is to be on the lookout for any events featuring the Pokemon, as your chances of getting its Shiny variant will be greatly increased. At the moment, the Better Together event features all kinds of Meowths, including the original Meowth, Galarian Meowth, and Alolan Meowth. You will notice them appearing frequently in your area, so this is a great time to get yourself a Shiny Meowth. The event ends on July 22, 2024. To increase your chances of getting a Meowth in your area as well, you can use the following tips:

  • Utilize Daily Adventure Incense and regular Incense to attract more Pokemon to your character
  • Use a Lure Module at any nearby PokeStops to attract more Meowths to the area
  • Pay attention to Meowth's weather boost, which is Partly Cloudy, to attract more to your location

With these tips and tricks implemented, you should have no problem getting yourself a Shiny Meowth. We also recommend saving up your Berries and PokeBalls for when you actually spot a Shiny Meowth, and leave any encounters if the Pokemon is not Shiny.

How to Evolve Shiny Meowth in Pokemon GO

If you want to evolve Shiny Meowth, the process is actually quite simple. You can evolve Shiny Meowth into Persian, or Perrserker if you are evolving a Galarian Meowth. To evolve Shiny Meowth, all you will need is:

  • 50x Meowth Candies

To get Meowth Candies, you will need to catch a bunch of Meowths in the wild, which will be in abundance during the Better Together event. Keep in mind that the candies required for evolving will be the same for all three forms of Meowth, including the original Meowth, Galarian Meowth, and Alolan Meowth. You can also transfer any Meowths you don't need anymore to the Professor to receive additional candies.
