Giant Lapras Pokemon Plush

Scarf Lapras is exclusively available as part of Pokemon GO Fest 2024, and players will not be able to catch it outside the event. Depending on which event the players choose to take part in, the habitat in which it spawns will vary. Here are the spawn habitats of Scarf Lapras as per the event.

Event

Spawn Habitat

Location

GO Fest 2024: Sendai, Japan

Mountain Brook

Nanakita Park

GO Fest 2024: Madrid, Spain

Rocky Shore

Parque Juan Carlos I

GO Fest 2024: New York City, USA

Poolside Cabana

Randall’s Island Park

It should be noted that these habitats are location-specific and players will need to explore a bit to find the habitat in the given area. This is in contrast to the global event, where the habitats rotate on an hourly basis. Once players find a given area that spawns their habitat, all they need to do is wait until they find Scarf Lapras. There are a few ways to boost the spawn rate in those habitats, such as using Incense as well as Lure Modules.

Apart from the regular Lure Modules, players can also use Glacial and Rainy Lure Modules to ramp up their odds even further, as they are specific to Water-type Pokemon, among others. The Glacial Lure Module is of particular essence here, since it boosts both Ice and Water types, which drastically improves the odds of getting a Scarf Lapras.

How To Get Shiny Scarf Lapras

For those who are looking for a shiny Scarf Lapras, the good news is that it exists in the game. Shiny Lapras is purple in colour, so it shouldn't really be that hard to spot it, not to forget the shiny symbol near its CP, which also serves as an identifier. While catching shinies is always an arduous task, the good news is that it isn't the case for Lapras. With impressive odds of 1/64, it shouldn't be that long before players get their hands on a shiny Lapras. The trick is to catch as many Pokemon as you can and use Incense and Lure Modules to boost the spawn rates. In fact a number of times, players don't even need to hit anywhere close to that number to get a shiny Lapras.
