Thankfully, despite being such a rare Pokemon, encountering Poipole in the game isn't quite tedious. In order to get Poipole, players will have to take part in the special research for the World of Wonders season. There is ample time for players to get it, with the research ending at the end of the season all the way in June. The first two steps of the special research contain Poipole and Poipole candy as rewards, respectively.

All players need to do is catch 20 Pokemon, spin 10 PokeStops, and transfer 10 Pokemon, and they will unlock a Poipole encounter. Not to forget, that is on top of the rewards they will get for each step, which are quite decent as well.

Can Poipole Be Shiny In Pokemon GO?

Poipole's shiny variant is loved by many, thanks to its unique white and yellow appearance. Unfortunately, as of now, shiny Poipole is not available in Pokemon GO. Usually, the developers release the regular variant of the Pokemon, and the shiny variant is added at a later date as part of some event. So, the possibility of Shiny Poipole making its way into Pokemon GO can't entirely be ruled out. However, whether it will be in this season or in a different one altogether is something that is not known.

Poipole's evolution, Naganadel, is well known for being one of Ash's Pokemon, so many players are looking to add it to their team. That being said, just like the shiny variant, its evolution isn't available in the game as well, which can be a tad disappointing. Once again, it is expected that it will be added as part of a future event, but as of now, Niantic hasn't confirmed anything.
