Pokemon GO has revealed Ralts as the Pokemon featured in January's Community Day Classic. The event will take place on January 25, with Pokemon GO players having the opportunity to catch Gardevoir's base form, considered the best Psychic-type of Gen 3.

Community Day is a recurring event that celebrates players of Niantic's augmented reality game and is always highly anticipated by the community. To give trainers a second chance, Pokemon GO introduced Community Day Classic in 2022, which revisits previous Community Days. In 2024, specifically, Porygon, Bagon, Cyndaquil, and Beldum were the pocket monsters featured in the Community Day Classic editions of January, April, June, and August.

Pokemon GO has revealed that Ralts will be the featured Pokemon at January's Community Day Classic. The event takes place on January 25 from 2 pm to 5 pm local time, and during this period Ralts will appear in the wild more often, with trainers having the chance of finding a shiny one. Evolving Kirlia, the evolution of Ralts, during Pokemon GO's Community Day Classic, or up to five hours after the event ends, will give trainers a Gardevoir or Gallade that knows the Charged Attack Synchronoise. The ability deals 80 damage in raids, trainer battles, and gyms. Other bonuses available will be extended duration for Lure Modules and Incense and reduced distance for hatching eggs in incubators.

For $2, players will be able to purchase Special Research with rewards such as a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and three encounters with Ralts that have themed backgrounds from the current season. Timed Research will reward players with four Sinnoh Stones and an encounter with Ralts. The Community Day Classic will have a new Continued Timed Research, rewarding trainers with Ralts encounters with special backgrounds, and a Field Research giving Stardust and Great Balls as rewards. New Showcases and offers will be launched, with a $4.99 Ultra Box (Pokemon GO Web Store), and two bundles; one for 1350 and the other for 480 PokeCoins (in-game store).

Niantic added Ralts in 2017 with the debut of the Hoenn region in Pokemon GO, with Feeling Pokemon appearing for the first time on Community Day in August 2019. This is yet another of the activities confirmed by the developers for January, which includes the return of Shadow Ho-Oh to Pokemon GO on an upcoming Shadow Day. Players are also awaiting details of the Lunar New Year, a seasonal event that has been taking place since 2018.
