Pokemon GO has confirmed that Quaxly will star in the next Community Day event on July 20. Pokemon GO had previously teased the event in earlier trailers, and after much anticipation from players, the fan-favorite Gen 9 critter is finally receiving its first Community Day.

After Sprigatito and Fuecoco starred in the January and March Community Days, respectively, the only Paldean starter left in line for a similar event was Quaxly. Although many players hoped this would happen during the Might and Mastery season, Pokemon GO focused on other monsters like Vanillite and Pawmi instead. However, after Quaxly briefly appeared in Pokemon GO's Delightful Days trailer in May, fans expected that a major event was imminent. More recently, the developers shared a Community Day teaser featuring Quaxly's signature blue webbed feet, seemingly confirming fans' suspicions. Now, the game has confirmed a date and schedule for the long-awaited event.

Pokemon GO's New Gold Bottle Caps Are Essentially a Pay-to-Win Feature

Pokemon GO just announced that Gold Bottle Caps are coming to the game, and there's already discussion as to whether it's a pay-to-win item or not.

As shared by Pokemon GO in an official blog post, Quaxly's Community Day will take place on Sunday, July 20, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. During this period, Quaxly will spawn more frequently in the wild, and players will have a chance to encounter its shiny version. Like in previous Community Days, Lure Modules and Incense will last three hours. Other exciting bonuses include triple the Stardust and double Candy from catching Pokemon and one extra Special Trade for the day. Trades will also require half the Stardust as usual. Additionally, fans can fully evolve their Quaxly in Pokemon GO to obtain a Quaquaval that knows the Charged Attack Hydro Cannon. This effect will be available starting from the event until July 27 at 10:00 PM.

It is worth noting that Quaxly's day will follow Eevee's Community Day Classic, another major two-day event in July.

While Quaxly's Community Day is still weeks away, Pokemon GO players still have some exciting activities left for June. The game recently launched its Ancients Recovered event featuring all the Regi Legendaries. Pokemon GO also debuted Gold Bottle Caps and Hyper Training, though the game has received criticism for not making it a free-to-play item.
