Pokemon GO is constantly including both new and recurring events as part of the live-service format of the game. This means that Trainers will always have something new to look forward to, such as an opportunity to catch one of their favorite species, participate in Raids to earn rewards and encounters with special Pokemon, Field Research and Collection Tasks for some handy boosts, PvP or PvE battles, and more.

As part of Pokemon GO's Max Out Season, which began in September 2024, the Legendary Heroes event is available for Trainers to participate in during the last few days of the month. This event features many useful aspects for all players, such as event bonuses to boost their gameplay and rewards, as well as featuring a selection of beloved Pokemon to appear more frequently in the wild - some of which are making their Pokemon GO shiny debut! If you're wondering exactly which Pokemon will be available, and if they have a chance of being shiny, you can find all the relevant information in the guide below.
