Many Pokemon GO players use Master Balls to catch the Galarian legendary birds, as they are notoriously difficult to find and have a tendency to run away from encounters. Other Pokemon GO players have used their Master Balls to ensure that they catch any "hundos" (Pokemon with perfect stats) that they find out in the wild. Some unlucky Pokemon GO players have had their Master Balls wasted by other people using their account and throwing them at common or useless Pokemon.
Pokemon GO Teases New Poke Ball for Upcoming Event
Pokemon GO is set to introduce a seventh Poke Ball type in November, coinciding with the global launch of the Wild Area event.
Anyone needing a new Master Ball should note that yet another one has been added to Pokemon GO. For a limited time, Pokemon GO players have the opportunity to purchase Masterwork Research: Master Ball for $7.99. This new paid Pokemon GO Special Research must be purchased by October 11 at 8:00pm local time. Pokemon GO players must also play within that same timeframe for the research to properly unlock. The ultimate prize is, of course, a Master Ball, but Pokemon GO players can unlock other goodies by completing the quest.

- Make 50 Excellent Throws - 20 Max Revives

It will take a significant amount of time for most Pokemon GO players to complete the Masterwork quests, but upon doing so, they will earn encounters with Pokemon like Galarian Mr. Mime, helpful items like Silver Pinap Berries, and of course, a Master Ball. For dedicated Pokemon GO players trying to catch them all, it may make a lot of sense to buy this paid Special Research, though others may be able to safely skip it, especially if they haven't used their previous Master Balls yet.
Anyone that misses out on buying this new Masterwork Research: Master Ball quest should keep in mind that there's a high possibility that Pokemon GO will give them new opportunities to get Master Balls in the future. When exactly that will happen, and if it will cost money, has yet to be determined.
