Pokemon GO's Summer 2025 schedule has been filled with exciting events and new additions for players to check out. Between the game's 9th anniversary and the Water Festival, Pokemon GO players have had plenty of reasons to get out and catch, battle, and trade mons this summer. In particular, Pokemon Legends: Arceus fans have been treated to the introduction of several Hisuian forms recently, leaving only one Hisuian mon yet to make its Pokemon GO debut.
Unlike the mainline series, Pokemon GO's new creature additions tend to roll out over time, often long after their core series debut. While the majority of Hisuian Forms have joined the game in the three years since Pokemon Legends: Arceus' release, the process has been somewhat slow going. Now, the roster of Hisuian Forms in Pokemon GO is almost complete, with only one evolutionary line missing from the game after the recent addition of Hisuian Lilligant.
Pokemon GO’s New July Addition is Long Overdue, But the Timing Couldn’t Be Better
Pokemon GO is finally adding a popular Pokemon later in July, and the timing might mean it's just the cherry on top of bigger Pokemon affairs.
Pokemon GO Has Yet to Add Hisuian Goodra to the Game
Pokemon GO Has Been on a Hot Streak with Hisuian Forms
With the release of Hisuian Lilligant as a part of Pokemon GO's July 2025 Raid Days, only Hisuian Goodra remains unreleased. Currently, the roster of Hisuian forms in Pokemon GO includes:
- Hisuian Growlithe
- Hisuian Arcanine
- Hisuian Voltorb
- Hisuian Electrode
- Hisuian Typhlosion
- Hisuian Qwilfish
- Hisuian Sneasel
- Hisuian Samurott
- Hisuian Lilligant
- Hisuian Zorua
- Hisuian Zoroark
- Hisuian Braviary
- Hisuian Avalugg
- Hisuian Decidueye
Prior to Hisuian Lilligant's Raid Day debut, Pokemon GO featured the introduction of Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark as a part of the Ultra Unlock: Hisui Celebration event. Hisui fans can also find increased spawns for Hisuian Qwilfish and Voltorb, and raids featuring Hisuian forms of Growlithe, Sneasel, Braviary, Avalugg, Wyrdeer, and Kleavor during this event. This recent emphasis on mons from Pokemon Legends: Arceus helps wrap up Pokemon GO's Hisui line-up ahead of Pokemon Legends: Z-A's release, but time is running out for the game to add the missing Hisuian Goodra evolution line.
While not technically a Hisuian Form itself, Basculegion is also missing from Pokemon GO.
Hisuian Goodra Needs to Come to Pokemon GO Sooner Rather Than Later
With Hisuian Goodra remaining elusive amid Pokemon GO's Hisui Celebration event, the clock is ticking for the critter to be added before the release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, the follow-up to the Hisui Region's debut title, which is sure to bring new Mega Evolutions that would fit perfectly in Pokemon GO's version of the mechanic. A Pokemon Presents is scheduled later this month for July 22, and while Legends: Z-A will likely be its focus, the presentation could also include some announcements for Pokemon GO as well. If Pokemon GO wants to wrap up its journey through Hisui with a nice bow, adding Hisuian Goodra (along with Basculegion) would be the perfect way to cap off the summer before Legends: Z-A releases this October.
Like Hisuian Lilligant, Hisuian Goodra would be a fantastic Pokemon GO Raid Boss given its great defensive typing and defense-oriented stats. Tackling this critter in a Raid would likely be a solid challenge for Pokemon GO players to undertake, and could even be split between Hisuian Goodra in Three-Star Raids and Hisuian Sliggoo in One-Star Raids. Even pulling out some of the best Raid attackers for Pokemon GO, like Mega Gardevoir and Mamoswine, could give players a challenge with the addition of Hisuian Goodra's Steel typing, allowing it to answer threats from Ice and Fairy types. As such, there isn't a better mon to close out Pokemon GO's Hisuian roster than Goodra, but it risks being overshadowed by Pokemon Legends: Z-A's new Mega Evolutions if the timing of its release isn't right.
