Pokemon GO has announced the Adventure Week event, one of the first August activities available to trainers. Adventure Week is an event held annually by Pokemon GO that focuses on Rock-type and Fossil Pokemon. Last year's Adventure Week event marked the debut of Shiny Tyrunt and Amaura in Niantic's game, along with various other activities for trainers.
Rock-type Pokemon are known for being great defenders, and some of these critters, such as Gigalith, Aggron, and Tyranitar, can be found in Pokemon GO. Meanwhile, Fossil Pokemon are one of the most interesting aspects of the franchise, corresponding to a group of prehistoric creatures that can be revived using the right technology. These creatures are also present in Pokemon GO, and players can encounter some of the more popular names, such as Kabuto, Omanyte, and Aerodactyl. Now, Rock-type and Fossil Pokemon will be back in the spotlight with the upcoming Pokemon GO event.

Pokemon GO has announced the 2024 edition of Adventure Week, which will start on August 2 at 10 am and end on August 12 at 11:59 pm local time. During the event, eight different Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild, including Diglett and Bunnelby, with Pokemon GO players finding Aerodactyl if they are lucky. 7 km Eggs will hatch Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Archen, Tyrunt, and Amaura, and themed Field Research will reward encounters with Tirtouga, Archen, Roggenrola, and 9 other Pokemon, as well as Mega Energy for Aerodactyl.

For $2.00 USD, Pokemon GO players will be able to purchase a survey that will reward them with two Incubators, a Super Incubator, and encounters with themed Pokemon. Players who spin PokeStops during the event will receive double XP, and five times XP for the first spin of the day, while hatching Pokemon will give double XP. Shiny Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Archen, Tyrunt, and Amaura will have an increased chance of appearing in the wild. Adventure Week will also feature new PokeStop Showcases, and Collection Challenges rewarding with Stardust, encounters, and Mega Energy for Aerodactyl.
While players take part in the last events of July, such as the debut of Mega Lucario in Pokemon GO, the game already has exciting activities in store next month. August will feature five-star raids with Moltres, Thundurus Incarnate Forme, and Xerneas, while mega raids will feature Aerodactyl, Kangaskhan, and Salamence. Poplio will be August's Community Day Pokemon, with Classic Community Day and a special Pokemon World Championship event as part of the month's schedule.
