Pokemon GO Has Added a Ghost-Type That's Super Hard to Find

In honor of the upcoming Halloween holiday, Pokemon GO has added Ghost-type Pokemon Poltchageist to the game, but plenty of fans are having a lot of trouble trying to find it. Over the years, Pokemon GO has added a variety of fresh Pokemon that have presented their own challenges, but Poltchageist has proven to be one of the trickiest finds in a long time.

Introduced in Gen IX, Poltchageist is an incredibly unique addition to the ever-growing Pokemon roster. Poltchageist is made of match tea and resides in a fancy black and white tea container. The Pokemon is a combination of Ghost and Grass-type, but for the sake of Pokemon GO's Halloween event, Poltchageist's Ghost-type makeup puts it front and center. However, the chances of a Poltchageist being found during this event seem to be incredibly rare.

Pokemon GO Players Are Having Trouble Finding Poltchageist

Poltchageist's rare One-Star Raids are making the Pokemon incredibly hard to capture.
This has caused confusion, with some players even doubting if Poltchageist is even part of the event.
Some players have yet to even find a Raid for Poltchageist.
Pokemon GO's Halloween event started on October 21 and ends on October 27.

Whether finding the Pokemon has been incredibly difficult or seemingly non-existent, Pokemon GO players have flooded social media with reports of their own struggles to find the elusive matcha creature. Poltchageist can only be found in One-Star Raids, and while this tier of Raid isn't really challenging, it's been a headache to try and simply discover one. Finding a Counterfeit Poltchageist has been a lot easier, but a lot of players have been on the hunt to get an Artisan Poltchageist for their collection.

On the one hand, it's frustrating for Pokemon GO players, especially when the Halloween event is quickly coming to an end, but on the other hand, Poltchageist being so hard to find that it has players questioning its existence is pretty on-brand for a Ghost-type on the eve of Halloween.

As Pokemon GO's annual Halloween event quickly draws to a close, Poltchageist Raid sightings will hopefully become more prevalent leading up to the finale. Of course, only time will tell, though, so as of now, players who are on the lookout for the exceedingly rare Ghost-type Pokemon may need to keep an even closer eye out for any signs of the creature. Even if players can't get Poltchageist, the upcoming November event will offer the chance to get Tarountula and Spidops.
