Pokemon GO Sweet Swarm August 2025 Event Guide

In Pokemon GO, the Sweet Swarm event will begin on August 3, 2025, and will be available in-game for players to participate in until August 6, 2025. During this time, players will be able to witness encounters with the two featured Pokemon, Swirlix and Combee, through wild encounters influenced by Lure Modules, and through Field Research and Timed Research reward encounters.

There is a small arrangement of event Bonuses that players can benefit from during Sweet Swarm, all related to Combee and Swirlix. This enables players to farm encounters with these two monsters to hunt for the ones with the best stats, or even for a shiny variant, considering the event has boosted shiny rates for both Swirlix and Combee.

Sweet Swarm Event Bonuses in Pokemon GO

Lure Modules activated during the event will last for one hour.
Lure Modules are more likely to attract event-themed Pokemon.
Increased chance to encounter Shiny Combee and Shiny Swirlix.

The Timed Research for Sweet Swarm involves extra tasks that players can complete to earn additional encounters with Combee and Swirlix. These tasks involve spinning PokeStops, catching Pokemon, and more. During the event, these Timed Research opportunities will be split into two halves. The first set will take place between August 3 at 12 AM local time and August 4 at 11:59 PM local time. The second half will occur on August 5 at 12 AM local time and conclude on August 6 at 11:59 pm local time.
