Pokemon GO: Togetic Community Day Guide

The next community day for Pokemon GO is happening this weekend, and this time around, it focuses on the Fairy/Flying-type Pokemon, Togetic, the evolution of Togepi, and the pre-evolution of Togekiss. This Togetic Community Day guide will give players all the info they need to know, like the event bonuses, research tasks, rewards, and more.

When is Togetic Community Day?

The Togetic featured community day kicks off on April 15 at 2 PM local time and will end on the same day at 5 PM local time.

What are the Event Bonuses?

During the three-hour event, Pokemon GO players can look forward to:

Increased Spawns for Togetic
Increased chance for Togepi to hatch from 2 km eggs
1/4 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in Incubators
Double the chance to get Candy XL from catching Pokemon (Level 31 and up)
Double candy for catching Pokemon
Lure modules last for three hours
Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for three hours
One additional Special Trade can be made (max of 2) - (2 pm to 10 pm)
Trades require 50% less Stardust (2 pm to 10 pm)
If players evolve Togetic into Togekiss, the Togekiss will know the Aura Sphere charged move, which is a powerful Fighting-type attack.

Togetic Community Day Field Research

The field research task for Togetic Community Day requires players to simply catch 3 Togetic. There's a chance to earn the possible rewards:

5 Great Balls
2 Ultra Balls
2 Pinap Berries
500 Stardust

Togetic Community Day Spreading Cheer Special Research

To take part in the special research story titled 'Spreading Cheer,' players will need to purchase a ticket in the in-game shop for $1 USD. The tasks and their rewards are as follows:

Step 1:
- Power up a Pokemon 10 times (15 Poke Balls)
- Catch 15 Togetic (Togetic encounter)
- Make 5 Nice throws (20 Togepi Candy)
  - Total Rewards: 2000 Stardust, Togetic Encounter, Incense
Step 2:
- Catch 15 Togetic (30 Togepi Candy)
- Transfer 10 Pokemon (Togetic Encounter)
- Use 3 Pinap berries to catch Pokemon (10 Pinap Berries)
  - Total Rewards: 1500 XP, Togetic Encounter, 1 Lure Module
Step 3:
- Make 3 Great curveball throws (15 Great Balls)
- Transfer 10 Pokemon (1 Lucky Egg)
- Evolve a Togetic (50 Togepi Candy)
  - Total Rewards: 2500 XP, Rocket Radar, 15 Ultra Balls
Step 4:
- Claim reward x3
  - Total Rewards: 2 Silver Pinap Berries, 2 Golden Razz Berries, 2500 XP, 3000 Stardust, Togekiss Encounter, 3 Rare Candies

Togetic Community Day Timed Research

The timed research will only be available during a three-hour window. Each task rewards players with a Sinnoh Stone, which will certainly come in handy to evolve Togetic into Togekiss.

Catch 5 Togetic (Sinnoh Stone)
Make 5 Nice Throws (Sinnoh Stone)
- Total Rewards: Two Sinnoh Stones

How to Evolve Togetic into Togekiss

Pokemon GO players can evolve a Togetic into Togekiss by feeding it 100 Togepi Candy and using a Sinnoh Stone, which can be earned by completing the above timed research tasks.

Can Togetic be Shiny?

Pokemon GO players have the chance to encounter a shiny Togepi, Togetic, and Togekiss. During the event, there's an increased chance for Togetic to be shiny.

Bonus Raid Battles

Once the event ends, players can still take part in four-star raid battles that feature Togetic. This will happen from 5 pm to 10 pm local time on April 15, and once players defeat a raid, Togetic will appear more frequently around the gym for about half an hour. It's worth noting that these raid battles cannot be joined remotely.
