Pokemon GO has revealed the dates and cities that will host the 2026 edition of the GO Tour. Pokemon GO keeps a calendar full of activities to keep players engaged throughout the year, with one of the highlights being the GO Tour.
The GO Tour is an event held in anticipation of Pokemon Day, the franchise's annual celebration. The first edition of the Pokemon GO Tour took place in 2021 and was dedicated entirely to the Kanto region. Because of this, the developers added shiny variants of all 151 original monsters and featured Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos, and Mewtwo in Legendary raids. Since then, the events have focused on four other regions, such as the fan-favorite Hoenn, bringing features and monsters for trainers to catch. The Pokemon GO Tour is a highly anticipated event, and now the community knows when the next one will take place.

Pokemon GO Tour Heads to the US and Taiwan in 2026
Pokemon GO has revealed that the GO Tour 2026 will take place from February 20 to 22. The event will be held in two cities, one of which is Los Angeles in the US, a location that has already hosted other Pokemon GO events. The second event will take place in Tainan, with developers taking the game to Taiwan's oldest city. Players around the world will not be left out, as the final GO Tour event will be global and take place on February 28 and March 1.

In 2025, Pokemon GO celebrated the monsters first seen in Unova with in-person activities in New Taipei City and Los Angeles from February 21 to 23. Meanwhile, the global event took place on March 1 and 2. The Unova GO Tour offered many features, such as encounters with Gen 5 starters through a special pass, and the chance to get Thundurus, Landorus, and Tornadus in their Incarnate Formes. Other highlights of the celebrations included the addition of Black and White Kyurem and the addition of shiny Meloetta to Pokemon GO.
At the moment, there are no other details about the Pokemon GO Tour 2026. Since the event will take place next year, more information is expected to be shared in the coming months. In the meantime, Pokemon GO players will have other reasons to stay engaged, such as the debut of Mega Camerupt on September 28. October also has exciting moments in store, such as Community Day and the debut of Mega Metagross in Pokemon GO.
