Evolution Stones are one of the few things that remain unchanged in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, and players can evolve a wide variety of Pokemon using these evolution items. From the classic Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon, to the powerful Gallade, trainers can add these Pokemon to their teams if they get the required stone for their evolution.

In this guide, players will learn where to find all Evolution Stones in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, and where to buy more when they run out of them.

Players should not mix Evolution Stones with Mega Stones, which are traded in Quasantico Quarters for Mega Crystal Shards.

Evolution Stones in Pokemon Legends Z-A

Evolution Stones (often called Elemental Stones) have been part of the Pokemon games ever since Gen 1 hit the stores back in 1996. With the progression of the franchise into later Generations, more Pokemon were added, and of course, more Evolution Stones saw the light of day. Today, there are a total of ten Evolution Stones, and these are the ones that can be found in Pokemon Legends Z-A:

  • Fire Stone
  • Thunder Stone
  • Water Stone
  • Leaf Stone
  • Ice Stone
  • Dusk Stone
  • Dawn Stone
  • Moon Stone
  • Sun Stone
  • Shiny Stone

These Stones can be obtained in one of two ways: The first is by finding them or obtaining them as rewards for Secondary Missions, the second is by purchasing them from the Stone Emporium, located in Vernal Avenue, close to Wild Area 1. Players should take note of this zone, as it is also close to an Eevee Spawning Spot, the only Pokemon that uses stones to evolve in various forms.

Curiously, players can also acquire Jaw Fossil, Sail Fossil, and Ancient Amber in the Stone Emporium, so they are going to be able to farm Fossil Pokemon to get that prized pink Shiny Aerodactyl, or the cool blue Shiny Tyrunt.
