Galarian Slowpok e and its evolutions (Galarian Slowking and Galarian Slowbro) are one of the five regional forms introduced in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. However , players should be extremely careful when evolving it, since there's only one of these Pokemon available per game save, and this guide will teach them how to get one for their collection.
Learn everything about the Secondary Missions required to get Galarian Slowpoke, and the Galarica Wreath and Galarica Cuff required to evolve it in either of its two Forms.
How to Get Galarian Slowpoke in Pokemon Legends Z-A
Before players begin the process of getting a Galarian Slowpoke and its evolutions, they will need a regular Slowpoke. This Pokemon can be found in the Wild Zone 11, so players should go there and catch one.
Next, players need to complete Main Mission 14: Canari Quiz Contest, and after that, Secondary Mission Nº39: Slowpoke for Slowpoke becomes available. To start this mission, travel to Wild Zone 10 and look for an NPC called Quille in South Boulevard.
Talk to him and trade a regular Slowpoke for his Galarian Slowpoke. Once players have this Pokemon, they will need to progress further in the Main Story to unlock its evolutions.
How to Get Galarica Wreath & Galarica Cuff to evolve Galarian Slowpoke in Legends Z-A
To evolve
Galarian Slowpoke into
Galarian Slowbro, players will need a Galarica Cuff. On the other hand, to evolve Galarian Slowpoke into
Galarian Slowking, players require a Galarica Wreath.
If players remember correctly, these items come from the remote Isle of Armor near the Galar Region, so getting them in Lumiose City should be impossible. Unless players know exactly where to look for.
Travel to Vert Sector 9's Battle Court, which is next to Wild Zone 1, and look for an NPC called Touri. The little girl will tell players that she has traveled to the Isle of Armor, and wants to showcase her rare Pokemon in a battle. This Side Mission Nº 75 is called 'Some Unusual Pokemon' and requires players to face and beat her team, composed of Galarian Slowbro and Slowking.
Once players beat her in a duel, she will reward them with the Galarica Cuff and Galarica Wreath. But now, the problem is which evolution should players pick for their Galarian Slowpoke.
Should You Evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowbro or Galarian Slowking?
Both Galarian Slowbro and Galarian Slowking are Poison/Psychic Pokemon, unlike their regular counterparts, which are Water/Psychic. The main difference between these two evolutions is their stat distribution.
- Galarian Slowbro is more focused on Physical Defense and HP, while also having decent Special Attack. All other stats are cut down to negligible levels, especially its speed.
- Galarian Slowking is focused on Special Defense and HP, and has a little extra Special Attack, and more versatility in terms of movepool, since it can learn more moves using TM.
Sadly, neither of these Pokemon Mega Evolves (unlike Slowbro), which locks down their BST to that of a regular Pokemon and cuts down their competitive value. So, players should pick whichever they feel more comfortable with, since it doesn't really matter in terms of competitive gameplay, nor utility in the engame PvE.
