Pokemon Legends: Z-A will apparently be bringing back all of the Mega Evolutions from X and Y and Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, minus Mega Rayquaza. Like with most other Pokemon games, there have been plenty of leaks about the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A and what exactly the new game will entail. Now that the game is in the hands of some players that have managed to get early copies, datamining leaks have revealed even more details about the game.

Descriptions of many Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolutions leaked ahead of their proper reveals and have proven to be largely accurate. The latest leak doesn't reveal any more Mega Evolution designs, but it does reveal one Mega Evolution that won't be featured in the new game.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Won't Have Mega Rayquaza

According to Centro Leaks on Twitter, Pokemon Legends: Z-A will not bring back Mega Rayquaza. All the other Mega Evolutions from X and Y and Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are expected to return, meaning Mega Rayquaza is the only one being left behind. In fact, Rayquaza is apparently not in Pokemon Legends: Z-A at all. It's unclear why this is, but there's always a chance that Rayquaza and its Mega Evolution will be added through some kind of post-launch event or paid DLC.

Mega Rayquaza in the anime - Pokemon

We already know that Game Freak and Nintendo have big plans for Pokemon Legends: Z-A post-launch. The Mega Dimension DLC has already been announced and will introduce two Mega Evolutions for Raichu alongside a new storyline for fans to complete. Who's to say that Mega Rayquaza can't show up in DLC of its own. It would be strange for Mega Rayquaza to be the only one left out of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, so hopefully the popular legendary gets the comeback it deserves.

Needless to say, Pokemon fans have a lot of tough decisions to make about the game beyond what starter they will choose, but regardless, the next Pokemon adventure is right around the corner.
