Pokemon Legends: Z-A has a ton of activities to complete once players finish the Main Story, however, if players are not ready and have a decent Pokemon team, they are going to have a hard time.
From completing the Pokedex to re-joining the Battle Royale in Lumiose City, and getting a highly coveted unique Pokemon for the first time: In this guide, players will find all the information they need to know about Legends Z-A's post-game activities.
Complete All Mable's Research Tasks
One of the first goals of Trainers after the post-credit curtain falls is going to be to get up to date with all Mable's Research Tasks, some of which cannot be completed until players reach the post-game. Since Pokemon like Steelix and Scizor can only be obtained by purchasing Metal Coat from a store that is unlocked after players complete Main Mission 37: Operation Protect Lumiose.
The list of Research Tasks that cannot be completed until the endgame also includes:
- Completing the Pokexed
- Completing the Mega Pokedex
So, players will need to arm themselves with exceptional patience and get on with these secondary objectives, since most of them are quite a grind.
Get Shiny Charm And Start Hunting Rare Pokemon
With the renewed roster brought with Pokemon Legends Z-A, many forgotten Pokemon (like Staryu and Pidgey) have reappeared and are ready to take over the spotlight once more. Some of the old Generation Pokemon have cool Shiny Designs, while others like Ralts, Charmander, and the infamous Gastly are also highly coveted by collectors.
Since Mega Evolutions look awesome when a Pokemon is Shiny, this is yet another reason to dive once more into the madness of Shiny Hunting. But to make things more approachable, Game Freak has changed how Shinies spawn and remain in the world, even after players come and go to other areas. The only way for a Shiny to de-spawn is by scaring them, weakening them, or catching them.
The Shiny Charm, which is the last reward from the Research Tasks, is now more valuable than ever. So, once the game ends, grind those Research Tasks, and get into Shiny hunting.
Catch Kalos Legendaries: Yveltal, Xerneas & Zygarde
Every Pokemon game has its Legendaries, and in the case of Legends Z-A, the main trio from Kalos is back for payback. The post-game Main Missions will lead players into epic battles against Yveltal, Xerneas, and finally Zygarde, but be careful: These Pokemon will not yield to any unprepared trainers.
Combat against Zygarde will be especially dangerous, since it follows the Rogue Mega Pokemon battle gimmick, and has three stages: Zygarde 10%, 50%, and Complete Forme. The last phase for this boss is challenging and quite awesome, but some players might find it frustrating at first.
Get Into Ev & Hyper Training
The main aspects of Pokemon battles have suffered lots of changes, and the following Ranked Seasons (Until Pokemon Champions and Gen 10 Games get a release) are going to be quite hectic. There has never been a better time to learn about the magic of EV Training and how to get a Pokemon Team into shape with Hyper Training.
Farming Bottle Caps needed to Hyper Train Pokemon at the Justice Dojo can be quite a grind, but if players are participating in the Infinite Royale during the post-game, they will eventually hit the amount needed to get at least three lineups of Pokemon ready for PvP action.
Beat Taunie & Get Eternal Flower Floette
The final goal for those enjoying Pokemon Legends: Z-A's post-game would be to get one of the most anticipated Pokemon ever: Eternal Flower Floette. This Pokemon was originally introduced in Pokemon X & Y, and after a long, long time, players lost their hope of ever obtaining this Unique Pokemon.
Now, they can finally fulfill their dream of having Eternal Flower Floette and Mega Evolve it, since beating Taunie in a rematch (she pops up after completing 12-14 Rows of the Infinite Royale) will trigger a cutscene where our Rival and Chief of Team MZ handles AZ's former partner to trainers, alongside the Floettite needed to Mega Evolve it. Needless to say, this Pokemon is banned from competitive play, as its power is absolutely ridiculous.
