Pokemon Legends: Z-A Player Accidentally Buys Over 700 Fresh Waters While AFK Shiny Hunting

Redditor Gekkii was hunting for a Shiny Chespin in Pokemon Legends: Z-A's Wild Zone 17, using the AFK bench reset method. The problem is that Gekkii had left controller vibration on, which knocked their player off-center from the bench when an Alpha Diggersby spawned. They were eventually knocked out by the Pokemon, and respawned at the Pokemon Center outside Wild Zone 17. Their trainer then ran south, "and somehow talked to one of the travel brochure vendors," according to the player, before accidentally buying 726 Fresh Waters, spending all their money in the process.

One user in the thread described it as "such a weirdly specific and hilarious chain of events, I wouldn't even be mad at that point." The lesson here is that for anyone doing the AFK Shiny hunting method in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, it's important to turn off controller vibration, or it could spell disaster. Not that it's particularly difficult to earn money back in the game, nor is it particularly likely that this exact sequence of events will happen to another player. But it's certainly good to be aware that it can happen, and take the necessary steps to avoid it.
