Trainers hoping to catch a Skrelp to evolve it into a Dragalge in Pokemon Legends: Z-A may find it difficult, as the Pokemon isn’t available in any of the Wild Zones accessible before the post-game.

Luckily, Skrelp is fairly easy to find once you know where to look. This guide covers Skrelp’s exact location, how to evolve it into Dragalge, and how to get Dragalgite to obtain Mega Dragalge. Here’s the breakdown.

How to Catch Skrelp in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

skrelp in lumiose sewer in pokemon legends za

Skrelp can be found in the Lumiose Sewers in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, first available during Main Mission 19: Reaching Rank D, in which players have to venture into the sewers to look for Ivor’s sister, Gwynn of the Fist of Justice.

After Main Mission 19 is over, players can get back into the Lumiose Sewers in one of two ways:

  1. Side Mission 57: The Camerupt Entrepreneur
  2. Main Mission 20: A Request from the Rust Syndicate

Side Mission 57: The Camerupt Entrepreneur

Head to the location shown above and look for the trainer with the Audino. Right next to them will be a set of stairs you can take that lead directly to the quest giver, Herup.

Talk to Herup to start Side Mission 57, and he will immediately move out of the way, unlocking a permanent entrance to the Lumiose Sewers where you can find and catch Skrelp.

Side Mission 57 unlocks after Main Mission 20 is triggered, meaning both entrances become available at the same time.

Main Mission 20: A Request from the Rust Syndicate

During this mission, players will be asked by Corbeau of the Rust Syndicate to clear out the Mega Shard outgrowths in the Lumiose Sewers right next to the Saison Canal in the Magenta District.

This is a small subsection of the Lumiose Sewers that does not connect to the main area that is unlocked in Side Mission 57. If your goal is to shiny hunt Skrelp, the Saison Canal Lumiose Sewer area is the better choice.

Once obtained, give Dragalgite to the Dragalge to hold, and it will be able to Mega Evolve in battle when the Mega Meter is full. Mega Dragalge is a Special Attacker with incredible defenses and a strong typing, making it an easy addition to the main party.
