Pokemon trainers will need to go online and use the Mystery Gift feature in Pokemon Legends: Z-A if they want to participate in special distribution events or even claim any preorder bonuses, like the Ralts holding a Gardevoirite Stone for Mega Evolution later on. When Does Mystery Gift Unlock in Pokemon Legends ZA?

Before you can access Mystery Gift, you will need to play through some of the opening parts of Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Specifically, you must first explore Wild Zone 1 and catch a couple of Pokemon (five species to be exact). Once that's over, you will get a mission objective to visit Mable at the Pokemon Research Lab.
She'll teach you about her rewards and requests system, which you can use to earn neat items like TM's and even a Master Ball.
How to Use Mystery Gift in Pokemon Legends ZA
After you're done speaking with her, you should see the Link Play option in the main menu, right underneath Z-A Royale. In the Link Play menu, you can trade with other Pokemon Legends Z-A players (locally/online), participate in Ranked and Private battles, and of course, you can access Mystery Gift.
After selecting it, you can choose to get a gift from the Internet, input a code, or just check on your claimed gifts so far. If you're trying to get your preorder Ralts for example, just hit 'Get Via Internet.'
The gift will appear right then and there, and 
Ralts will be added to your party (or storage box if your party is currently full).
