Where to Find Genesect in Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension
Side Mission 191: Collecting Four Drives
Genesect can be found during Side Mission 191: Collecting Four Drives in Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC. Side Mission 191 is unlocked after players complete Hyperspace Mission 12: The Greatest Gift.
After you've caught Rayquaza in Hyperspace Mission 12, a new Side Mission will appear at the Secret TM Vendor near
Wild Zone 17. Talk to the vendor, and he will tell you that he knows the whereabouts of the Pokemon Genesect, but will only give you this information if you purchase four Drives from him in exchange for Mega Shards. These are:
|
Genesect Drives |
Price |
|---|---|
|
Chill Drive |
540 Mega Shards |
|
Douse Drive |
540 Mega Shards |
|
Shock Drive |
540 Mega Shards |
|
Burn Drive |
540 Mega Shards |
Each of the Drives costs 540 Mega Shards, meaning players will need a total of 2,160 Mega Shards to purchase all four Drives.

After acquiring all four drives from the vendor, talk to him again and select the “I’ve got the drives” dialogue option. He will tell you that he has marked Genesect’s location on your device. Activate the guidance mode for this quest by going to the map, finding the Side Mission 191 entry, and pressing A. The quest marker will lead you to
Wild Zone 13.
How to Catch Genesect in Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension
Genesect Location
In Wild Zone 13, interact with the wall near the entrance, and a new Hyperspace Distortion will appear. Use a high-level 5 ★ Donut to enter the Unknown Hyperspace Zone, where you’ll find
Genesect standing in an open field.
Although Genesect is Level 200, it has a 4x Fire weakness, making it very easy to deal with. Use powerful Fire-type Pokemon like Mega
Heatran or Primal
Groudon to deal with Genesect easily.
Failing to catch Genesect will not fail the quest. If Genesect faints, the Vendor will appear and reset the field to give you another attempt.
Side Mission 191 will be completed after you successfully catch Genesect, and you will be offered the following rewards:
- ₽30,000
- EXP Candy XL x5
How to Use Chill, Douse, Shock, and Burn Drives for Genesect in Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension
Genesect’s Chill, Douse, Shock, and Burn Drives Explained
The purpose of the Chill, Douse, Shock, and Burn Drives is to alter the nature of Genesect’s signature move, Techno Blast. When Genesect has the Burn Drive equipped, for example, the move Techno Blast will be a Fire-type move. If it has Douse Drive equipped instead, it will be a Water-type move, and so on.
- Chill Drive: Changes Techno Blast to become an Ice-type Move
- Douse Drive: Changes Techno Blast to become a Water-type Move
- Shock Drive: Changes Techno Blast to become an Electric-type Move
- Burn Drive: Changes Techno Blast to become a Fire-type Move
If Genesect does not have any of the four Drives equipped, Techno Blast will be a Normal-type Move.
