Porygon, Porygon2, and Porygon-Z can all be obtained in Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC through Hyperspace Wild Zones containing Normal-type Pokemon. For players looking to complete the Hyperspace Pokedex or add these powerful special attackers to their party, knowing how to get them is necessary information to have.

While Porygon is relatively easy to obtain early on in the game, its subsequent evolutions are a bit trickier. Players either have to wait until the late-game to obtain them or acquire them through special trade evolutions. Here’s the breakdown.

How to Get Porygon in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

Porygon has a chance to appear in 3★ Hyperspace Wild Zones containing Normal-type Pokemon. To confirm whether a Hyperspace Distortion has a Porygon or not, look for a silhouette like the one shown in the screenshot above.

Hyperspace Wild Zones reroll on every day/night change in Legends: Z-A, meaning players will be easily able to look for a Porygon by using a bench to change the time of day over and over again until a Hyperspace containing one spawns in Lumiose City.

How to Get Porygon2 in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

There are three ways to obtain a Porygon2 in Legends: Z-A.

Side Mission 167: Porygon's Polygon Count

  • How to Unlock: Side Mission 167: Porygon’s Polygon Count unlocks after players have started Hyperspace Mission 9 (Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No. 5).

Talk to Trian in Bleu Sector 6, and he will ask you to trade one of your Porygon for one of his. Catch a Porygon from a 3★ Hyperspace Wild Zone and bring it to him for trade. During the trade, he will give his Porygon an Upgrade to hold, triggering an evolution when it arrives at your end, allowing you to obtain a Porygon2.

Use an Upgrade Obtained from Hyperspace Wild Zones

4★ and 5★ Hyperspace Wild Zones have a chance of containing unique trade items like an Upgrade in the floating Poke Balls. To increase the chance of obtaining these items, craft a donut that has the Item Power: Special Flavor Power (Sour).

5★ Hyperspace Wild Zones (Normal-type)

5★ Hyperspace Wild Zones containing Normal-type Pokemon start appearing in the post-game of the Mega Dimension DLC. These 5★ Normal-type Zones contain Porygon, Porygon2, and Porygon-Z.

  • How to Unlock: Side Mission 167: Porygon’s Polygon Count unlocks after players have started Hyperspace Mission 9 (Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No. 5).

After obtaining a Porygon2 from Trian in Side Mission 167: Porygon's Polygon Count (details above), a 1★ Unknown Hyperspace Zone will appear in the Bleu Sector 5 Underground area. Enter this distortion using a low-level Donut. Inside, talk to Trian, and he will give you a Dubious Disc for free.

Dubious Disc is a trade evolution item that allows Porygon2 to evolve into Porygon-Z when it is traded while holding it. Initiate a trade with another player through local co-op or over the internet to obtain a Porygon-Z.

The trade code for a Porygon2 holding a Dubious Disc is 0012-0012 or 0233-0233.
