There are 20 Wild Zones in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, although only six of them are available to begin with. The rest will become accessible as players make their way through the main story, with the final one unlocking at the start of the post-game. Most Wild Zones have between six and eight Pokemon in them, plus an Alpha Pokemon or two, but some of those Pokemon can only be found during daytime or nighttime hours.

Those hoping to fully complete all twenty Wild Zones in Pokemon Legends: Z-A will therefore need to scour each zone pretty thoroughly and visit them during different times of the day. It's also worth noting that some Wild Zones extend onto rooftops, while others are broken up by roads and pathways, so if you can't find a particular Pokemon, it's a good idea to head up to the nearest rooftop so that you can properly survey the area.

There can only ever be two Alpha Pokemon in Wild Zone 20 at any given time. To spawn new Alphas, players will either need to catch or defeat the existing ones and then wait five minutes or use the fast travel function.
