Honedge is one of the most iconic Kalos Pokemon, and it makes its return in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Honedge and its evolutions are some of the strongest Pokemon you can have on your Pokemon Legends: Z-A team, but you can only find Honedge in a very specific location.

Most of Lumiose City's wild Pokemon are contained in Wild Zones, and Honedge is no exception. While it may seem like a rare spawn that you can only find in specific parts of the city, you actually don't have to go too far out of your way to catch one. Pokemon Legends: Z-A Honedge Location

Honedge can be found in Wild Zone 4 on the northern side of Lumiose City. This is one of the first Wild Zones you unlock in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, so you can go catch a Honedge as soon as you're set loose in the city.

Honedge only appears at night. Use a bench or your bed at Hotel Z to change the time. Honedge typically appears in the southeastern corner of Wild Zone 4 near some destructible boulders. There's only one Honedge in the entire Wild Zone, so you'll have to come back later and force it to respawn if it gets away.

Since Honedge only appears at night, using Dusk Balls is a great way to boost your capture chances.

How to Evolve Honedge in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

Honedge Pokedex

Honedge has two evolutions in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Honedge can evolve into Doublade once it reaches level 35. After that, you can evolve Doublade into Aegislash by using a Dusk Stone. There's no level requirement for Aegislash, so you can use the Dusk Stone whenever you want.

You can purchase a Dusk Stone at the Stone Emporium, but only once you've completed most of the main story in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Before then, you'll have to get lucky and find one as a random pickup while exploring Lumiose City. A few other Pokemon require a Dusk Stone to evolve, so you may not want to use your first one to get an Aegislash!
