Here's When You Can Start Exploring Lumiose City (Again)

According to the official Nintendo support page (Nintendo doesn't share official release times on social media), the release time for digital software that is also sold physically (such as Pokemon Legends: Z-A) will be at 9 PM PT the night before launch. However, if you do not fall within the US/Western time zones, the release time will be midnight local time on October 16.

If you live in the US and would like to play Pokemon Legends: Z-A a little earlier than most people, you can do the New Zealand/Australia method. This involves creating a new account for your Switch 2 so you can access the other region's eShop.

However, most American cards won't work, so you'll need to go online and buy digital eShop cards for your region of choice. It may cost a little more than the usual price of the game, but if you're a dedicated Pokemon fan, it might be worth the trouble to play almost an entire day early.
