A talented Pokemon fan online has shown a few different pieces of artwork, which imagine what Raichu would look like if it had Mega Evolution forms. With Mega Evolutions set to return in the upcoming Pokemon title, Legends: Z-A, fans of the series are excited about the feature all over again.

Mega Evolutions were first introduced in Pokemon X and Y as a way for Pokemon to temporarily evolve in battle, giving them new types and abilities, albeit for a short period of time. This gave new life to many old favorites whose evolutionary lines were complete, with Mega Evolution forms providing a fresh take on classic designs. However, not every Pokemon received this treatment, and naturally, the fans have stepped in with plenty of designs of their own. Just recently, one Pokemon fan designed Mega Evolutions for every Kalos starter, showing the kind of creativity this community is renowned for.

The Raichu Mega Evolution concepts were created by Redditor Mindrawz, showcasing what the potential X and Y variants could look like in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The designs are incredible, showing a normal and shiny version for both. With the X variant, Raichu's Mega Evolution becomes an Electric/Fighting-type, bulkier and stronger than its previous versions. The Y variant evolves into an Electric/Fairy-type Pokemon, with a slimmer design more in line with the original Raichu. Both are extremely unique designs but would fit in perfectly with the aesthetic of the series.

Raichu Mega Evolution Pokemon Concepts

As part of Pikachu's evolutionary line, Raichu has been featured in the Pokemon series since the very beginning. Because this set of Pokemon has been around for so long, they have become nostalgic favorites for many long-time fans of the series. As a result, there are tons of fan art pieces about Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu, meaning that it takes something extremely impressive to stand out from the crowd. One Pokemon fan even created an impressive Paradox form for Raichu, showcasing what it would look like from an ancient era in the past. It's fascinating to see how many different spins the community can put on one different Pokemon, although that just shows how creative fans can be.

Pokemon fans have long been regarded as one of the most creative communities around. Almost three decades since the series first debuted, fans remain as excited as ever about the adorable pocket monsters, and they keep finding new ways to pay tribute to them in a variety of interesting ways. Some even manage to bring them into their real lives, such as the Pokemon fan who built a cute Cyndaquil firepit. With the series only continuing to grow in popularity, fans shouldn't expect to see a slowdown of Pokemon fan art any time soon.
