- Completing the Pokedex and National Dex is no easy task, but the reward of a special Magerna makes it worth the effort for dedicated players.
- After 23 years, the dedicated Pokemon fan has finally caught them all, making the series' iconic tagline a reality. Manaphy remains the only elusive challenge for this player.
A Pokemon player has turned the franchise's iconic tagline into reality by catching all Pokemon possible across all the games, with the only exception being Manaphy. What makes this achievement more remarkable is the fact that this not only includes all the Pokemon available but also their shiny forms, some of which are incredibly difficult to find.
With the release of a new Pokemon game, players are often looking to complete the Pokedex. Some avid fans have gone above and beyond and completed the National Dex as well, which is not a small task considering how difficult it is to catch the mythical Pokemon. Thankfully, there is a sweet reward for it too, as players can get the Poke Ball colored Magerna for completing the National Dex. One player has defied all odds and taken that challenge a step further.
Rare Pokemon GO Shadow Pokemon Has Been Missing for Years
Pokemon fans express their disappointment over Niantic ignoring a shadow Pokemon that has been missing in the pool for several years.
In a new post on the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet subreddit, user wolfmanoh showcases an incredibly rare feat they recently achieved. The user highlights that it has been 23 years since they started playing Pokemon, and they finally completed their collection of all Pokemon, with the exception of Manaphy. What's notable is the fact that this not only includes all Pokemon and their regional variants, but also the shiny forms. Considering how difficult it is to shiny hunt some Pokemon, this is by far one of the rarest achievements in the history of the franchise.
Pokemon fans are quite impressed with the feat, considering that it is not often one comes across such a staggering collection. One user makes a witty remark stating that the user actually caught them all, thereby making the Pokemon tagline a reality. When asked about the most difficult parts of their journey, the user highlights that some Pokemon such as Blue Stripe Basculin were quite easy to shiny hunt, but others like Arceus took them over 4 months to obtain.
Shiny Manaphy Remains To Be A Headache For Collectors
The only Pokemon that ruins the collection is Manaphy. However, the user isn't to blame for that one, considering how tricky it is to find a shiny Manaphy. While Manaphy could be obtained via Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, getting a shiny is a different ball game altogether. Players will need to get the egg via Pokemon Ranger then trade it to a new save file, and hatch it, and that too doesn't have a guarantee of being shiny. Users have reported the odds are 1 in 8192, so it is by far the hardest shiny to catch in the franchise's history.
