Pokemon Scarlet and Violet pulled back the curtain on an upcoming Tera Raid and Mass Outbreak event taking place throughout Japan's annual Golden Week. The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet event will give players over a week to catch waves of Gimmighoul, Wiglett, Growlithe, and Swablu, each with enhanced chances of being a Shiny variant when encountered.
Known as the Coin Chest Pokemon, Gimmighoul is an unusual Ghost-type critter found throughout Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. While Gimmighoul can be found inside chests covered with coins, occasionally the diminutive gray Pokemon can be found alongside ruins and road signs. Walking up to a standing Gimmighoul will cause it to drop a Gimmighoul Coin before fleeing, while Chest Form Gimmighoul can be battled and caught in specific locations. After collecting a staggering 999 Gimmighoul Coins, a Pokemon trainer can use them to evolve a Gimmighoul into the Steel and Ghost dual-type Gholdengo.
