Following its launch in November 2022, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were quickly criticized for their frame rate drops and graphical quality, with some players also experiencing crashes and corrupted save file data during normal gameplay. A short video from the Nintendo Today app (and reposted by Serebii.net on social media) demonstrated how much smoother Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will run on the Switch 2's upgraded hardware. From the start, the frame rate of Pokemon Scarlet and Viole t is higher and more consistent on the Switch 2 due to the additional hardware headroom. Additionally, more Pokemon will show up on the screen with no noticeable dips in the games' performance.
