How To Participate In 7-Star Tera Raid Battles

In order to take part in 7-star Tera Raid Battles, players will first need to make sure they have completed Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. It is crucial to note that completing either the Indigo Disk DLC or the Teal Mask isn't necessary. However, players do need to complete the Academy Ace Tournament. Once that's done, they will be able to find 5-star Tera Raid battles in the wild. They need to complete around 10 of those to unlock 6 and 7-star Tera Raids. There is no way to identify 5-star Tera Raids, and players will need to check each crystal themselves to identify them. Thankfully, 7-Star raids are much easier to find as they have a sparkling symbol as well as a black crystal unique to them.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Mighty Dondozo Weakness & Resistances

Unlike some of the previous 7-Star Tera Raids, like Pikachu, Dondozo is a bit unique. Usually, the Tera type of a Pokemon is different than its base type, giving it a wider type coverage. However, for Dondozo, the Tera-type is the same as the base type, which is Water. This means that, apart from benefiting from the same-type attack bonus while using Water-type moves, Dondozo will be getting an added bonus due to its Tera-type. Therefore, players should totally avoid using Pokemon that are weak to Water-type moves, such as Ground, Rock, and Fire-type Pokemon. Additionally, players should try using Electric and Grass-type Pokemon, as they will be more effective.

Best Solo Counters For Unrivaled Dondozo

Thankfully, there are a number of counters that players can use against Dondozo, including some one-hit KO strategies. Here are the best counters players can use.

Miraidon

Miraidon is one of the best bets for taking down Dondozo, and players can easily solo the fight using this Pokemon as well. One should opt for the Held Item Life Orb and Metal Sound, Electro Drift, Electric Terrain, and Dragon Cheer as the moveset. The strategy is quite simple: Players need to start with Metal Sound for a couple of moves, followed by Dragon Cheer and Electric Terrain. Finally, Electro Drift should be enough to take down Dondozo with ease.

Bellibolt

For players who don't have Miraidon, Bellibolt is yet another popular and effective choice. With the Shell Bell as the Held Item, all players need to do is use Electric Terrain and then spam Parabolic Charge. Another good option is to have the Metronome as the Held Item. It is crucial to have the Electromorphosis ability, as it will help players take down Dondozo much faster.

Tsareena

This is a rather underrated but quite effective choice for beating Dondozo. Tsareena's Sweet Veil ability prevents any sleep effects, so players can simply use Grassy Terrain along with Trop Kick to take down Dondozo in no time. Once again, the Metronome is a handy item to have here as well.

No, Dondozo cannot be shiny in this 7-star Tera Raid, as it is shiny-locked. That being said, players can find it near the Casseroya Lake in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, and use Sparkling Sandwiches to boost their odds.
