Dragonite is a Flying and Dragon-type Pokemon that hails all the way from the Kanto region in Generation 1. While players can get Dragonite in the base game as well, this is a great opportunity to farm some handy items and get a Pokemon with a special mark.

How To Unlock 7-Star Tera Raids In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Unlocking 7-Star Tera raids in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is a tedious process, as players need to first beat the base game and complete the Academy Ace Tournament. This will unlock 5 Star Tera Raids, and players will need to complete around ten of those to unlock 6 and 7-Star Tera Raids. There is no definite way to find 5-Star Tera Raids, and players will need to check each crystal to find them. However, 7-Star Tera Raids have a sparkling effect on the map so players will be able to identify those quite easily.
Unrivaled Dragonite Weakness
Mighty Dragonite has a Normal Tera-type, which means it will be weak only to Fighting moves and resistant to Ghost-type. On the other hand, the Normal type gets added to the Dragon and Flying base type, which means that it will now be able to utilize the same type attack bonus for all of those three types and be super effective against Dragon, Fighting, Bug, and Grass types.
Best Solo Counters For Mighty Dragonite
There are a number of great counters players can use against Mighty Dragonite. Here are some of the best ones.
Flutter Mane
Flutter Mane is by far the most popular counter for Dragonite, as players can easily solo Dragonite with the right build. Flutter-Mane's type matchup ensures that it is immune to Dragon, Fighting, and Normal-type attacks. Players should use a Stellar Tera Flutter Mane with the Air Balloon held item and Modest nature. Now there is some RNG involved with this strategy as if Dragonite ends up using Hurricane on the first turn it can pop the Air Balloon. However, if it doesn't then players are all set to absolutely obliterate Dragonite. The odds aren't that bad so, players should be able to get it in a few tries.
Once players have got that, they need to make sure they have the moveset Sunny Day, Calm Mind, Dazzling Gleam, and Stored Power. One should start with Sunny Day to boost the power of attacks, thanks to Flutter Mane's Protosynthesis ability. Next, players should keep using Dazzling Gleam for the next moves until the stats are reset on the battlefield. After that, one should use Calm Mind for the next few turns to max out their stats. Finally, after another Sunny Day, players can use Stored Power to defeat Mighty Dragonite.
Corviknight
Corviknight is another great Pokemon that players can use for this raid. To start off, players will need a Fighting Tera Corviknight with a Shell Bell and Mirror Armor ability. In the beginning, players can start off by using Reflect and Body Press until the stats are reset. After that, players can use Reflect again along with Iron Defense and then simply use Body Press to take out Dragonite. Additionally, players can also use Roost to ensure that they don't fall victim to Dragonite's Thunder.
Orthworm
Orthworm might not be as popular as an option for Tera Raids, but it can be quite effective if built properly. Players will need to use the Shell Bell once again, and the Earth Eater ability gives players a massive edge as it can restore health when Dragonite spams Earthquake. The strategy is quite simple, all one needs to do is use Mud Slap until the stats are reset. Then, one can use Iron Defense to bolster their defensive stats and simply use Body Press until Dragonite gets knocked out.
Can 7-Star Tera Dragonite Be Shiny?
No, 7-Star Tera Raids are shiny locked so players can't catch it via this event. However, one can shiny hunt Dragonite north of Levincia in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
