Unrivaled Infernape Weakness & Resistances

Infernape is a Fighting and Fire-type Pokemon, which makes it incredibly strong against several types of Pokemon. It is only weak to Flying, Ground, Psychic, and Water-type moves, so players don't really have a lot of options against it. On top of that, it is also resistant to several types, including Bug, Dark, Fire, Grass, Ice, and Steel. However, considering that this Infernape is a Rock-type Pokemon, these resistances and weaknesses don't apply to the Pokemon.

Instead, its base defensive type changes to Rock only, and it gets added to the offensive type. So Rock-Tera Infernape behaves like a Rock-type Pokemon defensively and Fighting, Fire, and Rock-type offensively. This means it is weak to Fighting, Grass, Ground, Steel, and Water-type Pokemon. As far as resistances are concerned, it takes less damage from Fire, Flying, Normal, and Poison-type Pokemon. And, Rock-Tera Infernape will be able to deal the same-type attack bonus (STAB) while using Fighting, Fire, and Rock-type attacks.

Best Counters for Mighty Infernape

While players can use a number of Fighting, Grass, Ground, Steel, and Water types with a lot of success, there are some Pokemon that can prove to be quite successful in a battle.

Kommo-o (Dragon & Fighting Type)

Kommo-o is by far the most popular and best Pokemon to use against Infernape. What makes it so effective is that players can solo the battle using this Pokemon, so they don't need to depend on others at all. To start off, players will need Fighting-Tera type along with Shell Bell. The strategy is quite simple: all players need to do is use Drain Punch until the stats are reset, and then use Iron Defense thrice to improve defensive stats. Finally, players should keep using Body Press, and they should be able to defeat Infernape in no time.

Players should terrastalize as soon as possible to deal significantly more damage.

Malamar (Dark & Psychic Type)

There is another handy trick that is being used in the community to take down Infernape, and it involves using the Skill Swap move, which swaps abilities with Infernape. The best Pokemon to pull this off is Malamar, as players can get a lot of advantages due to its Contrary and Infiltrator abilities. The first move should be Skill Swap, and then players can start spamming Superpower until the boss is defeated.

Annihilape (Fighting & Ghost Type)

Annihilape is the holy grail of Tera Raids, and it is quite effective against Infernape as well. One should use a Fighting Tera-type Infernape with the Metronome. All players need to do is keep using Drain Punch, and they should be able to defeat Infernape in no time.
