Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will soon have a chance to add Shiny Koraidon and Shiny Miraidon to their collections via a Mystery Gift Code event starting later in September. However, the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet shiny distribution will only be available at select retailers, such as GameStop and EB Games, while supplies last.
The imminent arrival of Shiny Koraidon and Miraidon comes as Pokemon Scarlet and Violet continue the ongoing Shiny Treasures of Ruin Tera Raid event. Since the July 22 Pokemon Presents episode, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have played host to Five-Star Tera Raid battles featuring Shiny Legendary monsters like Wo-Chien and Ting-Lu for trainers to face. The final Shiny Treasure of Ruin, Chi-Yu, will be available to download starting September 18. With the event winding down, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers will have until September 30 to claim all four Shiny Treasures of Ruin as Mystery Gifts via the Internet.
The Last Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Treasure Of Ruin Event Is Now Live
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players have a limited time to battle the last member of the Shiny Treasures of Ruin in a Tera Raid battle.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Hosting Shiny Koraidon and Miraidon Event Soon
Although Shiny Koraidon and Miraidon were predicted to arrive last October, the wait will soon be over for Pokemon trainers looking to collect them. According to The Pokemon Company's blog post, both Shiny Legendary Pokemon will be available in the versions opposite the ones that featured them on the cover. Ergo, Shiny Koraidon will be available for Pokemon Violet players, and Shiny Miraidon for Pokemon Scarlet. The Shiny Koraidon and Miraidon distribution event will run from Friday, September 26, to Wednesday, October 15, one day before the launch of Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Interested Pokemon trainers must visit GameStop in the US, or EB Games in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, to claim their Shiny Koraidon and Miraidon Mystery Gift Codes while supplies last. Once that's done, players can redeem them via the Mystery Gift option from the Poke Portal.
No purchases are necessary to claim the Shiny Koraidon and Miraidon codes. Additionally, a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is not required to redeem Mystery Gifts in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. However, neither Shiny Koraidon nor Shiny Miraidon can be transferred to Pokemon Legends: Z-A, as Pokemon Home compatibility will not be available at the game's launch. But, both Koraidon and Miraidon are popular choices in competitive Pokemon battles, so trainers can utilize them in Pokemon Champions once it is released in 2026.
With the GameStop and EB Games distribution now imminent, Koraidon and Miraidon will soon be crossed off Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's list of Shiny-Locked critters. It remains to be seen how many trainers will claim these rare Legendary monsters.
