Pokemon Scarlet & Violet do things a little differently than their predecessors. As well as having three main storylines for players to follow rather than the usual one, the games also allow players to tackle bosses and gym leaders in whatever order they like. As there's no level scaling though, there's still a best order for getting all of the badges despite this newfound level of freedom.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Gym Leader Rematch Teams
Much like in earlier games, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players will be able to challenge all eight gym leaders to a rematch after finishing the game.
Some Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players may opt to tackle all three storylines separately; first becoming Pokemon Champion before then circling back to take down the Titans and Team Star Bosses. However, doing it this way will likely lead to players being massively over-leveled for the latter two storylines, so it's arguably better to tackle all three storylines simultaneously so as to keep things interesting.
For those wondering, the best Pokemon Scarlet order is the same as the best Pokemon Violet order despite there being a few subtle differences across the two games.

Other Main Story Battles in Pokemon SV
After obtaining all eighteen badges in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, players will still have a bit of work to do if they want to complete all three of the main storylines. Unlike with previous battles, the opponents they face at this stage of the game will no longer specialize in a single type of Pokemon. However, the levels of their teams do gradually trend upward, meaning that there is once again an optimal order for taking on the last few battles of Victory Road, Path of Legends, and Starfall Street.
- Victory Road - Elite Four (level 57-62): Players will need to defeat the Elite Four and Top Champion after beating all eight Gym Leaders.
- Path of Legends - Arven (level 58-63): Players will need to defeat Arven after taking down all five Titans.
- Starfall Street - Clive (level 60-61): Players will need to defeat Clive after shutting down all five Team Star bases.
- Starfall Street - Cassiopeia (level 62-63): Players will need to defeat Cassiopeia after beating Clive.
- Victory Road - Nemona (level 65-66): Players will need to defeat Nemona after they've become Champion.
- The Way Home (level 66-67): After completing all of the aforementioned tasks, players will unlock The Way Home, which serves as the final part of the games' story.
- Teal Mask DLC (level 60-70): The Teal Mask is the first of two DLC expansions for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
- Indigo Disk DLC (level 70-80): The Indigo Disk is the first of two DLC expansions for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
- Mochi Madness Epilogue (level 80-90): Mochi Madness becomes available after completing the Teal Mask and Indigo Mask expansions.
