There are three types of specialties in Pokemon Sleep: Berries, Ingredients, and Skills. Finding the Pokemon that gather the right berries and ingredients is not difficult. Players can simply take a look at their boxes and find the ones that are most suited for the job. However, Skills based Pokemon are a bit trickier to understand.

These berry specialists from Pokemon Sleep will ensure that Snorlax's strength goes up quickly.

As there are a variety of Pokemon that specialize in skills, it can be a bit confusing to learn how each of them works. Once players have found a good skills-based Pokemon, it is extremely important to invest in it as it can improve their teams drastically.

7 Raikou

Skill: Helper Boost

Raikou in Pokemon Sleep

Raikou was the first legendary Pokemon to make its debut in Pokemon Sleep. There was a great deal of expectation for Raikou to be good. Unfortunately, the Pokemon is not as good as the other Skills specialist in the game.

Raikou requires a team full of Electric-type Pokemon of different species to work the best. This can be challenging, especially when there are no good Electric-type Ingredients specialist. The lack of an Electric-type island also hurts Raikou, as it doesn't make sense to run a complete Electric team on other islands.

6 Dedenne

Skill: Tasty Chance S

Dedenne in Pokemon Sleep

Dedenne was introduced in Pokemon Sleep just before the Raikou event. This adorable Electric-type Pokemon possesses a unique skill that allows it to raise the chances of a dish turning out extra tasty. As players already know, extra tasty dishes can increase Snorlax's strength by as much as 100k. The number can go even higher if players make a dish with solid base power and good level bonus.

In order to create high power dishes, Pokemon Sleep players need to use the best ingredient specialists on their teams.

On level one, Dedenne can increase the odds of a dish turning extra tasty by 4%. But with enough Main Skill Seeds, it can go as high as 10%. In the future, if the level cap is raised, Dedenne could become an even more valuable team member.

5 Espeon

Skill: Charge Strength M

pokemon-espeon

Espeon is one of the best evolutions of Eevee. While the Pokemon can appear during Sleep Research, it is better to raise an Eevee. Espeon is a Psychic-type Pokemon that can be used on any team because of its Main Skill. Espeon has Charge Strength M, which can increase Snorkax's strength by over 6k when maxed out.

The biggest problem with Espeon is that players must share 150 hours of sleep with Eevee before evolving it into the Psychic-type Pokemon. Therefore, players should only go for Espeon if they can't find a good Ampharos.

4 Ampharos

Skill: Charge Strength M

Ampharos in Pokemon Sleep

Ampharos saw a resurgence after an update raised the level cap, allowing the Pokemon to increase Snorlax's strength even more with a successful trigger. An Ampharos with a level 7 Main Skill increases the strength by 6409. If players have a high bonus for a particular island, this number goes up even further. This Pokemon can come in really handy for islands where players don't have good berry specialists.

The best way to obtain an Ampharos is by raising a Mareep. Once players find and evolve a suitable Mareep, the resulting Ampharos will have a Main Skill level of 3. By going down this route, players will have to spend fewer Main Skill Seeds.

3 Sylveon

Skill: Tasty Chance S

Sylveon in Pokemon Sleep

Sylveon deserves a spot on the list as it shares the same Main Skill as Gardevoir and Wigglytuff. However, Sylveon is just a level behind the other two Pokemon, mainly because it requires a lot of effort. It will take players a long time to obtain the Pokemon. They will have to keep an Eevee in their team and sleep for 150 hours. This leads to a waste of time.

There is no middle evolution, which means that players will have to spend more Main Skill seeds. However, if players don't find these two things cumbersome, then it is better to invest in Sylveon ahead of Wigglytuff. Sylveon has a better frequency than Wigglytuff, so it will activate more times.

2 Wigglytuff

Skill: Energy for Everyone S

Wigglytuff in Pokemon Sleep

For a long period of time, Wigglytuff was a staple for every good team. The Pokemon's Main Skill played a crucial role in it. Wigglytuff's Energy for Everyone S allows it to recover its energy and that of everyone else on the team.

One might think why this Main Skill is so good, and the reason is that Pokemon with higher energy work faster and gather more berries and ingredients. Due to this reason, it is important to raise the level of the Main Skill. This can be achieved by using Gold Skill Seeds, which can be bought from the Premium Shop for 1,800 Sleep Points.

1 Gardevoir

Skill: Energy for Everyone S

Gardevoir in Pokemon Sleep

Gardevoir is not just the best Skills specialist in Pokemon Sleep but also one of the best Pokemon in general. It is the final evolution of Ralts, which means its Main Skill level will go up by two by the time players get their Gardevoir. One thing that players should keep in mind before they invest in a Ralts is to make sure that it is female. A male Ralts cannot evolve into Gardevoir.

Gardevoir possesses Energy for Everyone S, which allows it to replenish the energy of all team members. This Pokemon's trigger rate is higher than Wigglytuff, so it is better to use Gardevoir on all teams.
