The Teal Mask is the first of two DLC expansions for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, which together are known as The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. Players who purchase the DLC before October 31, 2023, will receive a special Dark Tera Type Hisuian Zoroark, as well as a special outfit set containing four new seasonal uniforms for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players to enjoy.
Much like the base version of the games, the uniforms that players will get are different depending on which version of the game they are playing, with Scarlet players getting one set and Violet players getting another. Neither the uniforms nor the Hisuain Zoroark pop into the player's inventory when starting the Teal Mask DLC though, leading to some players wondering how exactly one's supposed to claim them.
How to Claim Pre-Order Uniforms in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC
In order to claim the bonus DLC uniforms, players will need to open up the menu by pressing the X button. They should then see a yellow downloadable content box in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, which they should navigate to and then hit the A button. Pressing A a few more times will lead to a screen with the item details, at which point, players simply need to highlight the "New Uniform Set" and then press A two more times in order to claim it.
How to Claim Hisuian Zoroark in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC
To claim Hisuain Zoroark, players will need a special 16-digit code. This should have been emailed to them directly by Nintendo when they purchased The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero or when they entered the code for the DLC at the Nintendo Store. If they haven't received it, players should check the spam folder of the email address registered to their Nintendo account. Assuming they already have it though, it's a simple case of opening up the Mystery Gift menu; a process which most Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players should already be familiar with.
For those who are new to the game or have forgotten how Mystery Gifts work in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, the first step involves opening up the menu with the X button and then heading to the Poke Portal menu. After connecting to the internet, players will then want to select the Mystery Gift option and then "Get with Code/Passcode". This will take them to a new menu where they'll need to input their 16-digit code, and doing so will allow them to claim the Zoroark (Hisuian Form) Gift.
The Zoroark in question comes at level 50 and has a Dark Tera Type. It knows Happy Hour, Bitter Malice, Nasty Plot, and Tera Blast, though players can learn new moves or remember old ones if needed. It should perhaps go without saying, but the 16-digit code can only be redeemed once, so players should refrain from sharing it with friends if they plan on claiming Zoroark for themselves. It's also worth noting that the code will expire on February 29, 2024, so players should be sure to redeem it before then.
