Back in January, Galarian Slowpoke was added to Pokemon Sword and Shield, but players have not been able to evolve this iconic Pokemon since its arrival. However, that has just changed thanks to the release of The Isle of Armor DLC, and indeed it is now possible to obtain a Galarian Slowbro in Sword and Shield. For players that would like to get such a Slowbro for themselves, this guide has all of the details that they will need.
To note, fans that want to evolve a Galar Slowpoke into a Slowbro in Pokemon Sword and Shield must buy The Isle of Armor DLC. Once they have made this purchase, fans should make sure to download the DLC, which can be done by entering the Options menu for the game through the Switch's home screen, and they will then be ready to proceed with the evolution.
The first step to evolving Slowpoke into Galarian Slowbro is to travel to The Isle of Armor in Sword and Shield and then begin riding around with special attention being paid to the trees in the area. Specifically, players are looking for eight Galarica Twigs, and while they appear to be a bit rare, fans that exercise some patience will find these items under the trees on The Isle of Armor.
After a player has collected eight of these Galarica Twigs in Pokemon Sword and Shield, they will then need to take them to an NPC located on an island near The Isle of Armor's train station. To reach this island, players should turn to the right when exiting the station and head straight from there. The video above provides a visual reference for the location of the NPC, and it should make it very easy for players to evolve their Galar Slowpokes in Pokemon Sword and Shield's The Isle of Armor DLC.
When a player has located the NPC all that is left is to exchange the Galarica Twigs that were collected previously for a Galarica Cuff. Then fans simply need to use the Cuff on their Galarian Slowpokes, and it will transform it into a Galarian Slowbro.
Pokemon Sword and Shield are out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
