Pokemon Trading Card Game has revealed the pull rates for the new Destined Rivals expansion. The list gives Pokemon TCG fans an idea of the chances of obtaining cards of different rarities to add to their collections.
Released on May 30, Destined Rivals is the tenth major expansion for the Scarlet and Violet era of Pokemon TCG. With 244 new cards, one of the set's highlights is 83 cards related to Team Rocket, recently released in Japan as part of the Glory of Team Rocket set, now available in the West. Destined Rivals also features cards with popular characters such as Cynthia, Ethan, and Misty with their Pokemon partners. Pokemon TCG Fan Has Incredible Luck Opening Packs
Pokemon TCG has incredibly rare cards, and one fan is lucky enough to pull two copies of one of the most coveted by the community.
TCG Player has shared the pull rates for the Pokemon TCG Destined Rivals expansion based on the opening of more than 8,000 booster packs. According to the site, fans have a 1/5 chance of pulling any double rare card and 1/86 of a specific double rare. There are 17 double rare cards in Destined Rivals, such as Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex and Ethan's Ho-Oh ex. The chances of getting any ultra rare card are 1/16, and 1/344 for a specific one. Destined Rivals has 22 cards of this rarity, 14 of them being Pokemon ex, such as Cynthia's Garchomp, and eight full art Trainer cards, like Team Rocket's Giovanni.
Pokemon TCG Reveals the Odds of Pulling Cards from the Destined Rivals Set
Pokemon TCG fans have a 1/12 chance of pulling any rare illustration card and a 1/278 chance of getting a specific one. The set has 23 cards of this rarity, such as Shaymin and Misty's Psyduck. To get a special illustration rare card fans have a 1/94 chance, with a 1/1033 chance of getting a specific one. In all, the set features 11 cards of this rarity, including Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex. Finally, the rarest cards in Destined Rivals are the hyper rares, in which fans have a 1/149 chance of pulling any card and a 1/894 chance of pulling a specific one. These cards have gold frames, and Team Rocket's Crobat ex is one of the six hyper rares up for grabs.
TCG Player notes that the pull rates of the Destined Rivals expansion are in line with those of Journey Together, the Pokemon TCG set that hit the shelves in March this year with 190 new cards.
