Pokemon TCG Pocket players will reportedly get an opportunity to get 36 free Pack Hourglasses starting on July 30. The method of getting them is simple, and something that many Pokemon TCG Pocket players may have already checked off their to-do lists.

While participating in matches is a big draw for Pokemon TCG Pocket players, many fans simply enjoy opening booster packs. The game limits how often a player can open these, which is where Hourglasses can come in handy. Each Pokemon TCG Pocket Pack Hourglass cuts the amount of time a player has to wait to open a new booster pack by one hour.

Potentially shaving 36 hours off of booster pack openings could be a big deal for a lot of players, and according to the UniteVids Pokemon news Twitter account, players will be able to score that many starting on July 30. The only thing that needs to be done to get them is for the player to link their Pokemon TCG Pocket game to either their Nintendo Account or their App Store account. This has already been possible, but previously didn't give players this big pile of Pokemon TCG Pocket Hourglasses. While not stated outright, presumably those who have already linked their accounts will see this achievement checked off as soon as it's added to the game.

Linking Pokemon TCG Pocket Accounts

For those who haven't done so yet, linking an account to Pokemon TCG Pocket is pretty easy. From the main menu, players need to navigate down to "Other," click "Account," and then choose to link to either a Nintendo Account, Google Account, or Apple Account, depending on the type of phone the user has. Only the Nintendo Account linking option will be available for those with underage accounts on Pokemon TCG Pocket. The app will take the user through the steps of logging in and confirming the connection. From there, all users should have to do is wait for July 30 and then claim the free Hourglasses.

Pokemon TCG Pocket hasn't officially stated why it's making this offer, but linking accounts is typically a big help to users and developers alike. Once an account is linked, Pokemon TCG Pocket players can transfer their save data to other devices, play across multiple devices, and restore lost data. While it's possible to get an unlinked account back after uninstalling the game or changing devices, it requires contacting support and answering a number of questions about the user's account. Linking cuts down on difficulty and headaches for users and support alike, and now players can get this extra Hourglass benefit, to boot.
