Best Lucario ex Deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket, Explained (Shining Revelry)
The greatest advantage of utilizing Lucario ex as an ace Pokemon is the Aura Sphere move, which requires 3 Energy, but deals 100 damage at a base level per turn. In addition to this, Aura Sphere also deals 30 damage to one of your opponent's benched Pokemon, which can help to disrupt evolution and bench play strategies.
Lucario pairs perfectly with Lucario ex, as the Fighting Coach ability can be activated to boost Lucario ex's Aura Sphere damage to 120 per turn - more than enough to knock out several notable ex cards. This makes Lucario a brilliant support Pokemon to play on the bench, consistently buffing Lucario ex's damage.
In addition to Lucario, Sudowoodoo has also been included as an early-game attacker. The fact that it is a basic Pokemon with a generous 80 hp and 20 base damage attack at 1 Energy attached makes it a reliable choice. However, it can also deal a bonus 30 damage (for 50 total) to ex cards, meaning it can stall by chipping away at many lower HP ex targets. Marshadow also offers a chance to secure a quick knockout on any Pokemon that takes Sudowoodoo out of play, capable of dealing 100 damage on a turn that meets these conditions. Ideally, this will put you in a solid spot before getting Lucario ex on the field.
The remainder of the deck is rounded out with key Supporter/Item cards to enhance this strategy. Giant Cape helps prolong either Sudowoodo/Marshadow's stall or enhance Lucario ex's effectiveness, Red assists in boosting additional damage to an enemy ex card (which pairs well with Lucario's boost), Cyrus offers disruption that can result in an easy point, and Sabrina/X-Speed assist in finally getting Lucario ex into play.
