Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket has started a new limited-time event, offering a Blissey ex promo card as the main reward. Drop events are an opportunity for Pokemon TCG Pocket players to obtain promotional cards by winning battles against AI players, as well as other rewards that help them progress their accounts.
Blissey is a Pokemon introduced in Gen 2 that evolves from Chansey when it levels up with maximum friendship. It has an egg-shaped design that is part pink and part white, and carries an egg capable of calming angry Pokemon and making people kind. With a few appearances in the anime, one of the most notable is Brock's Blissey, first seen in Pokemon: The Arceus Chronicles. Blissey is a critter known and loved by fans that now has the spotlight in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
Pokemon TCG Pocket's New Best Deck Ironically Puts The 'Ego' In Nihilego
Pokemon TCG Pocket's new Wisdom of Sea and Sky set is out with some new decks to play, including one that makes Nihilego opposite to its name.
New Pokemon TCG Pocket Event Features Blissey EX Card as Main Reward
Pokemon TCG Pocket is giving away a Blissey ex promo card as the main reward for the new drop event, which started on Wednesday, August 6. Until Saturday, August 16, players can battle against the AI and, in addition to Blissey EX, obtain promotional Pokemon TCG Pocket cards featuring Chinchou, Horsea, Houndoom, and Kangaskhan by opening packs. By completing missions such as using three Basic Pokemon cards and winning a battle by turn 14, players will get shop tickets, Event Hourglasses, Stardust, and Wonder Hourglasses.
- Date: Wednesday, August 6, to Saturday, August 16
- New cards: Blissey ex, Kangaskhan, Horsea, Chinchou, and Houndoom
With a 12.66% drop rate and artwork by PLANETA CG Works, this is the first Blissey ex card released by Pokemon TCG Pocket. The Kangaskhan card, on the other hand, is a variation of the one added with the release of the Wisdom of Sea and Sky set. The card features artwork by Toshinao Aoki, and players have a 15.82% chance of pulling it. Horsea, Chinchou, and Houndoom already have cards in the game, but the promotional versions have new illustrations by Taira Akitsu, Aya Kusube, and Kagemaru Himeno. These cards have a 23.84% chance of dropping when players open promo packs.
Since this is an event focused on Normal-Type Pokemon, one of the best options for players will be using decks focused on Fighting-Type Pokemon. Some options stand out, such as the Donphan ex deck, capable of one-shotting almost all basic cards that are not ex. Another option for consideration is the Rampardos deck, which serves as a solid “plan B.” Rockruff, Lycanroc, and Trainer cards such as Giovanni, Rare Candy, and Iono will also be of great help to players during the event.
