Pokemon TCG Pocket launched a limited-time Gible event on March 3. The ongoing promotion provides Pokemon TCG Pocket players with a chance to grab a handful of cards and other rewards, most of which are straightforward to obtain.

DeNA's hit mobile game has been hosting multiple events per month since its October 2024 release. Most recently, Pokemon TCG Pocket fans were able to stock up on Darkness-type Pokemon during a so-called mass outbreak event, which concluded on February 27.

Pokemon TCG Pocket now has a Supporter card that can bring back a knocked-out Pokemon from the discard pile, but there are limitations.

Less than a week later, DeNa launched yet another promotion in the form of the Gible Drop Event. As is typically the case with Pokemon TCG Pocket drop events, this one allows fans to earn promo cards by completing limited-time battles. There are four single-player battles to go through, rated as Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert. All four feature an opponent that uses a Fighting deck, with the first two matching up badly against Grass types.

  • Cherrim (PA 043)
  • Raichu (PA 044)
  • Nosepass (PA 045)
  • Gible (PA 046)
  • Staraptor (PA 047)

Meanwhile, the Advanced and Expert battles in the Gible Drop Event require players to face opponents like Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, i.e., some of the best non-EX attackers in Pokemon TCG Pocket. A Psychic deck should do well against both of them, though it won't have an inherent advantage against their main threat—Garchomp EX, which is weak to Grass. As per usual, battling in the Gible Drop Event requires event stamina, which recharges over time and can also be recovered via event hourglasses. Losing doesn't consume stamina.

The first win in every Gible Drop Event solo battle guarantees a special booster pack containing a single Pokemon TCG Pocket promo card. The reward pool includes Cherrim, Raichu, Nosepass, Staraptor, and a full-art promo Gible card. Flashy artwork aside, this card is functionally identical to the Gible that can be obtained from the Palkia packs from the Space-Time Smackdown expansion and the one from the newly released Triumphant Light set.

Pokemon TCG Pocket Gible Drop Event Runs Until March 16

The Gible Drop Event is scheduled to run for exactly two weeks, ending on March 16, at 10:59pm PST. In addition to cards, players can earn Shinedust, shop tickets, and hourglasses by winning battles. All of these rewards are guaranteed for first-time wins, while subsequent victories offer a chance at either a promo booster pack or one of the other rewards. Pokemon TCG Pocket's ongoing Gible Drop Event also features one-time challenges; completing enough of them allows players to earn several rewards, including a few full-sized booster packs.
