Summary

  • Pokemon TCG Pocket is celebrating its half-year anniversary with special rewards.
  • Rewards include a Shaymin coin and full art Rayquaza card.
  • New expansion Celestial Guardians with 200+ cards is coming soon.

Pokemon TCG Pocket has revealed its half-year anniversary rewards. Released in October 2024, Pokemon TCG Pocket has been a massive success.

For those who don't know, Pokemon TCG Pocket has simpler rules than the physical Pokemon Trading Card game. Players' decks are made up of 20 cards, and there is a limit of 50 turns for them to achieve victory. The great appeal of DeNA's game is, however, the cards that players pull by opening booster packs. To date, two expansions and three mini-sets have been released: the most recent is the Shining Revelry mini-set, which added 111 cards and marked the debut of shiny Pokemon in Pokemon TCG Pocket. Celebrating six months of this journey, the developers have announced special gifts that will be available soon.

  • Rayquaza EX card
  • Shaymin coin
  • Playmat with Charmander, Piplup, Rockruff and other Pokemon

In the solo battle events, Pokemon TCG Pocket players face off against the AI in matches of various difficulty levels and earn rewards such as promotional card packs. This card is a variation of those already in the game, but with a few differences, such as different attributes or alternative artwork, and a Poke Ball stamp. The coins and playmats are the Pokemon TCG Pocket accessories that players use to make the experience of creating their dream decks even more engaging.

The six-month celebration isn't the only announcement made by DeNA, as Pokemon TCG Pocket will soon get a new set. Named Celestial Guardians, the upcoming expansion will add more than 200 cards for players to collect, including ex variants of the Legendary Pokemon Solgaleo and Lunala, and the first immersive Support card.
